Fite Building picks new leadership

Fite Building Co. of Decatur has named Jack Fite president.

Bob Fite, former president, will work with the company as a consultant while pursuing real estate investments as co-owner of Fite Investments Limited Liability Co..

Fite Building Co. also announced the promotion of nine employees to new leadership positions:

Mike Brown, senior vice president of industrial construction; Harry James, vice president of estimating; Carol Aldridge, vice president and office manager; Marty Blackwood, senior construction manager and executive vice president of Steel Erectors, LLC; Andy Wenzler, human resource manager and director of safety; Marquita Wiley, senior project coordinator; Jeff Gattis, senior project manager of government and institutional work; John Pearce, senior project manager of commercial; Janice Garrison, executive secretary.

Decatur Steak-Out owner earns award

Bob Matthews, owner of Steak-Out Char-Broiled Delivery in Decatur, received the National Sales, Sales Builder and Silver Service awards. Matthews was recognized for his efforts at Steak-Outís Annual Operatorís Meeting in Atlanta.

The National Sales award recognizes the operator whose store ranks in the top five for royalty sales.

The Silver Service award honors stores that consistently exhibit and perform to Steak-Outís quality standards. Matthews
received the Sales Builder award for increasing his storeís sales by 17.5 percent in the past year.
