Helen Smith Berryman Town Creek Funeral for Helen Smith Berryman, 84, of Town Creek will be today, May 16, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Jackson Memory Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Delashaw, Bro. Randy Burbank and Bro. Jackie Hill officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Ms. Berryman died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at her residence. She was a homemaker and a member of Donald Baptist Church. Her parents, Reno and Edith Brackin Smith; and her husband of 66 years, Raymond E. Berryman, preceded her in death. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Ayers of Town Creek; granddaughter, Angela Briscoe of Town Creek; grandson, Randall Blaxton of Town Creek; seven great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Grace Bragwell of Muscle Shoals, Dean Greene and Alline Williams, both of Town Creek. Pallbearers will be Jerry Berryman, David Berryman, Larry Greene, Carlton Brackin, Jackie Williams and Raymond Hutchinson. Visitation 6 to 8 tonight. Mr. Blankenship died May 15, 2008. He was the husband of Shirley Blankenship. Heskel Lee Jeffreys Decatur Funeral for Heskel Lee Jeffreys, 61, 11 a.m. Saturday at Shelton. Visitation 5 to 7 this evening. Mr. Jeffreys died May 15, 2008. James Wesley McNutt Eva Funeral for James Wesley McNutt, 38, of Eva will be Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny Pitts officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. McNutt, who died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, was born Nov. 19, 1969, in Morgan County to James and Louise McNutt. He was preceded in death by his son, Lee McNutt; his father; and his sister, Karen Jean McNutt. Survivors include his wife, Susan McNutt; three sons, Adam Suits, Chase Chaney and Aaron McNutt; one stepdaughter, Charlene Bryant; one stepson, James Ryan Fletcher; two stepgrandchildren, Kristopher Gossett and Kali Bryant; his mother, Louise McNutt of Hartselle; one brother, Wayne McNutt of Decatur; three sisters, Sandy Chaney of Falkville, Mae Hammack of Hartselle and Vonda Bailey of Decatur; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. L.V. Moore Decatur Funeral for L.V. Moore, 83, of Decatur will be Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mitchell Williams and the Rev. John Clotfelter officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Moore, who died Monday, May 12, 2008, at Decatur General Hospital, was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Hillsboro to Virgil G. Moore and Lucy Ann Harris Moore. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran. He farmed and lived in the Decatur area most of his life. His wife, Evelyn Moore; and his daughter, Charlotte Provost, preceded him in death. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Hollingsworth and her husband, Don, of St. Augustine, Fla.; two granddaughters, Holly Southworth of St. Augustine and Kimberly McBee and her husband, Craig, of Fairhope; two grandsons, Donald Hollingsworth and his wife, Danielle, of St. Augustine and Jonathan Taylor Provost of Clarksville, Tenn.; four great-granddaughters Kendall Southworth, Danae Hollingsworth, McKenna McBee and Anna McBee; two sisters, Era Mae Murphy of Tanner and Gertha White of Phenix City; and one brother, Glennis Moore of Belle Mina. Pallbearers will be Donald Hollingsworth II, Jonathan Provost, Craig McBee, Reitzel Murphy, Elliott Murphy and Geoff Abrahms. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity. Mrs. Procter died May 14, 2008. Claude Bevins Scott Cedar Grove, Fla. Claude Bevins Scott, 97, formerly of the Massey community died May 8, 2008. A memorial service will be held at a later date. He was the widower of Mabel Sandlin Scott. Pamela Smith Decatur Funeral for Pamela Smith, 51, of Decatur will be Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earl Holt officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 and Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at her residence. She was born Nov. 11, 1956, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Jerry and Jo Ann Forsythe Bieser. Survivors include her husband, James Michael Smith; son, Travis Posey of Athens; stepdaughter, Tonya Czaijkowski and her husband, Timothy, of Decatur; brother, David Bieser of Franklinton, La.; sister, Cheryl Bieser of Franklinton, La.; two grandchildren, Lilly and Landon Czaijkowski of Decatur; and a stepgrandchild, Cheyenne Czaijkowski. Mary Magdalene Tollison Teague Decatur Graveside service for Mary Magdalene Tollison Teague, 82, of Decatur will be Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Partridge officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Mrs. Teague, who died Thursday, May 15, 2008, at Sunbridge Health Care Center, was born June 17, 1925, in Woodruff, S.C., to Arthur Tollison and Viola Blackwell Tollison. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhonda Jean Nowlin. She is survived by her husband, Odell Teague; son, James O. Teague of Decatur; daughter, Sheila J. Teague of Flintville, Tenn.; two sisters, Betty Eatman of North Carolina and Ozella Nelson of South Carolina; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
