First Junior Miss meeting today

Incoming high school senior girls who live in Morgan County and are interested in participating in the 2008 Morgan County Junior Miss scholarship program should attend an orientation meeting Sunday.

The first practice is from 1:30 to 6 p.m. at Encore Sports Enhancement Center, 1905 Central Parkway. If you cannot attend the mandatory meeting, you must get clearance from choreographer Tonya Jones, 318-2512. The 2008 program will be Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. at Decatur High School.

Morgan County Junior Miss Mary Catherine McAnnally is the current Alabama’s Junior Miss and received $26,000 in cash scholarships plus a full four-year scholarship to Birmingham Southern College by participating in the local, state and national programs.
