'The Producers' this weekend in Huntsville

A nerdy accountant joins forces with a down-on-his-luck theatrical producer to sweet-talk grandmother types and other investors into putting up money for a new musical. It’s all there in the musical comedy “The Producers,” opening Friday for five shows this weekend at the Von Braun Center Concert Hall in Huntsville.

Does the show flop, as they hope, so they won’t have to pay back their investors? You’ll need to see what happens and laugh along after they hire the worst producer and director available.

Broadway Theatre League scheduled shows for 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 and 7 p.m. Sunday.

Tickets range from $28 to $51; call 518-6155 or go by the box office.
