A good sport at silent auction

Ethan Heron and others helped raise nearly $20,000 for Families and Children Experiencing Separation during a recent silent auction fundraiser.

Ethan, an Auburn fan, really wanted this Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey of one of his favorite former Auburn players, Carnell Williams.

His mom let him bid $30 for the jersey at the event sponsored by FACES of Morgan County, which helps children in foster care afford items such as ball league uniforms and school field trips.

FACES board member Jerry Shumake, whose Sunday school students volunteered at the event, said it was one of the most successful auctions yet.
