Ever had Tennessee River Stump Hash? The Rescue Rangers, led by captain Tony Weikert, will prepare their specialty Saturday for the “Men Who Cook” fundraiser.

These rangers are members of the Morgan County Rescue Squad who will prepare and serve food to benefit the Mental Health Association in Morgan County from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Colonial Mall.

Others planning to cook include church pastors and deacons, band boosters, barbecue experts and more.

And the Autumnwood Baptist singles’ team, led by Pelmer Peebles, who won best decorated table last year for “Oh, Brother, Where Art Thou,” this year will portray “Hee Haw” and serve pinto beans, turnip greens and cornbread, said MHA executive director Sue Brantley. They are challenging their deacons.

Entertainment will include the Swingers Combo from the Sophisticated Swingers, plus the Singing Commodores barbershop quartet and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ledbetter and friends with a ballroom dance demonstration.

Sir Clumsy the clown will make balloon animals, and the Ink-a-Dink-a-2’s clowns will do facepainting.
