Fat Tuesday fun

Looking for somewhere to celebrate Fat Tuesday?

Sassy's Fraz at 108 W. Market St. in downtown Athens is planning a Mardi Gras Day costume ball from 7 p.m. "until."

Go for food and music, and be a part of "Le Royal Court de Sassy's Fraz." Admission is $15 per person; call 771-0400 for reservations.

In Decatur, Café 113 is planning a Mardi Gras party Tuesday evening, with jambalaya and muffalatas. Tickets are $10; call 351-1400.

Brass Band concert

The Brass Band of Huntsville will present its 2007 Prism Concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church on Airport Road.

Ensembles including trumpet, French horn, trombone, tuba and percussion will be featured, along with the Brass Impressions and Rocket City Brass.

'Nights on Broadway' at PACT Ball

The PACT Ball, Decatur Assembly's annual fundraiser for Parents and Children Together, will be March 10 at Decatur Country Club.

Tina Wofford said everyone is invited to join in this "Night on Broadway" theme event, which will feature the band Black Widow. Dinner will include wrapped broiled shrimp, filet, grilled asparagus, wild mushrooms and potato gratin.

Tickets are $250 per couple, with proceeds helping prevent child abuse in Morgan County. Call Wofford at 340-0055.
