'Androcles and the Lion'

After a performance of "Androcles and the Lion" on Wednesday, Banks-Caddell Elementary School second-graders Tayrome Bates, left, and Marlen Torres, center, get a chance to talk with Alisha Carroll as the Lion, Jessica Hodgens as Issiabell and Chris Sams as Androcles, actors with Birmingham Children's Theatre.

The musical at the Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts was part of the Young Audience Professional Series, which is designed to expose elementary students to a variety of arts performances.

The events are made possible by Boeing and grants from The Daniel Foundation, the Alabama State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.
