'Mamma Mia!'

The timeless songs of ABBA add zest to this funny tale of family and friends on a Greek island in "Mamma Mia!" Broadway Across America in Birmingham will sponsor eight performances of this touring production April 10-15 at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center Concert Hall.

Currently the No. 1 show with 10 productions running concurrently, "Mamma Mia!" has eight permanent shows and two tours under way to the tune of songs such as "Dancing Queen," "Money, Money, Money," "The Winner Takes It All" and "Take a Chance on Me."

The story tells how, on the eve of her wedding, a daughter's quest to discover the identity of her father brings three men from her mother's past back to an island they visited 20 years earlier.
