Pops concert tonight

The Decatur Civic Chorus will sing "A Musical Salute to the United States" during its annual pops concert Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Princess Theatre Center for the Performing Arts.

Members Telula Thornton, Connie King and Nancy Terry with Andrew Foxx and John Bush, along with the rest of the chorus, will sing songs such as "Stars Fell on Alabama," "Georgia on My Mind," "Deep in the Heart of Texas," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," "Rocky Top," "Oklahoma," "California, Here I Come" and "Erie Canal."

The Hartselle High School Show Choir and The Rocketeers barbershop quartet will be guest performers. All will join for the opening number, "This Land Is Your Land," and close with "God Bless the USA."
