local art exhibit

You have until Friday to see the works of 70 local artists of all ages and stages featured in "Embracing Art V: A Coming Together of Area Amateur and Professional Artists" at Carnegie Visual Arts Center at 207 Church St. N.E.

Along with oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors and drawings in pen, graphite and conté crayon, the show includes photography, hand craft, mixed media, assemblage, pottery and three-dimensional art.

Admission is free, with donations and membership welcome.

Carnegie hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Call 341-0562 for information on exhibits and summer art camps.
