Hatton High Class of 1960

Fifty classmates, spouses and friends attended the 47-year reunion of Hatton High School’s Class of 1960 on July 14 at the Hatton Senior Center, where a barbecue dinner was catered. Members came from Madison, Miss., Athens, Cherokee, Muscle Shoals, Decatur, Trinity, Town Creek, Mount Hope and Moulton, as well as Hatton. Larry Hurst surprised classmates with background music from the 1950s and ’60s. Three deceased classmates, Sue Borden Latham, Charles Bradford and Lyle Harville, were honored with a memory table and a poem written by classmate Joyce Kerby Dawson and read by senior class president Jimmy Randolph. The next reunion will be Aug. 2, 2008, at the Senior Center.
