FEATURED EVENT
Elvis, cars and a cookout in Danville

What’s a Labor Day weekend without Elvis and cars?

You can check both out Saturday during the benefit car show and cookout at the Alabama Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch at Danville.

Car registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the event will end at 3 p.m.

This is the third year the Just Kruzin’ Car Club of North Alabama has scheduled a car show at the ranch, where 27 boys currently reside.

Elvis impersonator Dennis Ballentine will be there with his performance as the King of Rock ’n’ Roll, as well as his tribute to legends and oldies.

Along with freshly grilled concessions, there will be a silent auction, other prizes and children’s games.

For information, call 227-9572, 725-4573 or 227-9654.
