Preparing for Splash Party

Volunteer Center of Morgan County Executive Director Mary K. Braddock and Connie Larkin are getting ready for the “Cajun Fais Do-Do” on Saturday at the home of Dr. Steven Fletcher and Dr. Rebekah Moss-Fletcher. This poolside Splash Party with silent and live auctions, a $500 cash prize, heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks will help fund volunteer programs and lead up to the Ducky Derby on Sept. 22. A feathered wreath, towable boat tube, paintings, Alabama and Auburn items, tickets, gift certificates, dinners, hotels and all kinds of packages will be offered in the “Mallard Marketplace” auction. The band “Hi 5” will play. Tickets to the 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. benefit are $50. Call the Volunteer Center at 355-8628.
