'Elvis' performance for playground

A concert featuring renowned Elvis impersonator Michael Dean will be Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Sparkman Civic Center. Tickets are $10, and proceeds will benefit the Special Needs Accessible Playground project.

SNAP is a volunteer organization based in Hartselle that is trying to raise more than $500,000 to construct a playground for the estimated 1,700 physically challenged children in Morgan County.

The playground will be on property in Sparkman Park. You may purchase tickets in Hartselle at the Hartselle Area Chamber of Commerce and Moss Audio, and in Decatur at Root All-State Insurance on Sixth Avenue.

For more information, contact fundraising chairman Bill Camp at 773-6591.
