Snap to it to win $500

The Daily’s 10th annual amateur photo contest is under way.

The contest runs through Nov. 1, but the sooner you enter, the more chances you have to win. The deadline to enter Week 1 competition is Friday at 5 p.m.

Three weekly winners, announced Oct. 14, 21 and 28, earn $25. Category (humor, children, landscape/nature and animals) winners will be announced Nov. 4. They also earn $25.

From these seven winners, the $500 grand prize winner will be selected.
