Vote for your favorite quilt

Thirty-two quilted works of art are on display until Oct. 30 at Decatur Public Library’s annual Quilt Show. Viewers may vote for their favorite quilt until Monday, when ribbons will be awarded to the top three. This year’s show features whimsical items like Ruthie Keenum’s quilt of sports T-shirts titled A Coach’s Life, and some traditional patterns such as Dr. Lynda Gilliam’s double wedding ring Sara & Ike, which is about 75 years old. Quilts may be viewed during regular library hours: Monday-Wednesday 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; Thursday 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sunday 2-5 p.m. Call 353-2993 for more information.
