Dogs, sister host party

Dogs Sally and Archie were party hosts who grabbed a lot of attention when Fred Inglis celebrated his 90th birthday with a party at his Decatur home Oct. 7. His sister, Catherine Inglis Kennedy, left, came from Pflugerville, Texas, to guide the dogs in party planning, including a birthday cake decorated with a dog bone and paw prints. Friends dropped by for goodies, and several generations of his nieces, nephews and other relatives came from Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, Birmingham, Greensboro, Athens and elsewhere for the celebration.
