Senior center seeks players for bridge benefit

The Decatur/Morgan County Senior Center is seeking bridge-playing foursomes to play in its Nov. 27 bridge benefit.

Play will begin at 9 a.m., and the $15 per person fee will include lunch.

Sherry Stephenson, director of the center at 221 Memorial Drive S.W., said the benefit will help raise money to renovate the center’s restrooms.

“We have lots of great door prizes, such as gift baskets, gift cards and restaurant certificates,” said Stephenson. Bill Culver and Nancy Beaty, with members of Xi Beta Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority, are helping by gathering door prizes, she said.

Those interested in playing should put together a table of four and call the Senior Center, 355-7275, to make reservations by Friday.
