Learn about container gardening
Wendy’s word
“Look how cool the back looks,” commented my daughter about a recent summer craft she had made. I told her that a lot of crafts, cross-stitching for example, can look just as impressive from underneath.
We often judge a book by its cover, but fail to look beneath the surface. What does your foundation look like today? Is it a masterpiece in itself where the threads of your life are beautifully woven and tied together or is it a jumbled mess, where pieces are barely holding on?
When traveling your life journey and crafting your days together, make sure the back looks just as “cool” as the finished product on top.
Now let’s see what the “chatter” is for today ...

Golfing for cancer
Join the American Cancer Society’s fight against cancer by teaming up with local golfers in this year’s Golf Championship on July 23 at Burningtree Country Club.
“This tournament provides an opportunity for golfers to do something they love while raising money for the fight against cancer,” said Taylor Roberts, tournament chair. All proceeds from the tournament support the American Cancer Society.
The event is a four-person scramble format. In addition to tournament play, participants will also receive free breakfast and lunch, along with goodie bags filled with donated items from local companies.
