Princess birthday experience complete with a carriage ride
Wendy’s word
There is something to be said for great customer service — when someone goes above and beyond to make sure the customer is happy and satisfied. Many times we are hurried along and not treated well, so when someone goes that extra mile, it is greatly appreciated.
Two recent experiences touched my heart and not only made my day, but reminded me there are good people in the world who care and remain committed to their work. A special shout out of thanks goes to Andrea and Grace at PETCO and “Mr.” James at Mallard Stables. Your willingness to help with everything from hamsters to horses will not be forgotten.
May you receive blessings for the way you have blessed my family. Let’s take the time today to continue the circle of exceptional customer service.
Now let’s see what the “chatter” is for today ...
Princess party
When country singer Chad Bradford first learned about Grace’s Closet, he knew he wanted to treat his daughter to the princess birthday experience, and that’s exactly what he did.
Braleigh Bradford and cousin Olivia Bradford made memories to last a lifetime thanks to grandparents and founders of the Moulton business, Ruby and Gerald Bradford.
Chad and brother Nick Bradford made sure party guests Jordon Naylon, Abby Cook, Drew Bradford, Ashton Pitt, Bailey Steadman and Whitney Seley enjoyed a morning complete with mini-makeovers, the “Makings of a Princess” story and a craft.
The morning was topped off with a Belgium horse carriage ride through downtown Moulton. For more information on Grace’s Closet or to book a party for your little princess, call 974-1777.
Charity horse show
If you missed the World Racking Horse Championships and love horses, check this out. The Alabama Charity Championship Horse Show will be at the Celebration Arena in Priceville beginning Wednesday and running through Saturday. Admission is free.
One of the largest Saddlebred shows in the Southeast, the show will feature more than 700 American Saddlebreds.
The Charity Horse Show offers open classes with entries shown by juveniles, amateurs and professionals who are competing for prize money, ribbons and trophies.
“There are not many Saddlebred barns in this area,” said Charles Byron, co-chairman of the show. “With the Alabama Charity Championship Horse Show, we hope to introduce this type of horse to the North Alabama region.”
During the past 16 years, the Charity Horse Show has raised more than $340,000. Proceeds from this year’s competition will benefit Children’s Hospital in Birmingham and the Junior League of Morgan County.
Shows are at 6:30 each night, with additional shows at 10 a.m. Thursday and Friday and at 9 a.m. Saturday. In addition to the competition, vendors will have sell horse-related items ranging from oil paintings to clothing.
For more information on the breed, visit the American Saddlebred Horse Association at www.asha.net.
