Viagra for sex offenders?

Sex offenders convicted of crimes such as rape, sexual abuse and sexual conduct against children are receiving federally funded medication for erectile dysfunction, according to New York state's comptroller, Alan Hevesi. Do you think taxpayers should foot the bill?

Money misspent

"I don't think they should be able to file for it. I'd rather my tax money go to homeless shelters or to people who live in the Black Belt with no plumbing or running water."

— Mamie Maddox, 58, Tuscaloosa

It's nonsense

"It absolutely makes no sense. I'd rather see the money go to helping small businesses."

— Shelly Ross, 44, Decatur

Take it away

"I'm like 90 percent of the other people. I don't believe our federal tax money should benefit people who have committed crimes."

— Bill East, 67, Decatur
