Deer ransacks Baldwin home
MIFFLIN (AP) — Carol Williams has had better days.
She and her husband attended a family funeral Thursday and arrived home from dinner to find their house near Mifflin in South Baldwin County in shambles.
Broken glass, blood, wrecked furniture and pictures were strewn throughout the home.
And the culprit was asleep in their bed.
Williams said a startled deer sprang from the bed, ran for the front door and crashed into her Jeep before fleeing into the woods.
The couple said they suspect the deer saw its reflection in a sliding glass door before crashing through it to get inside.
