Man who flipped SUV into creek hospitalized

A Huntsville man was still in Huntsville Hospital on Friday after his sport utility vehicle collided with another SUV, rolled and then dropped 20 to 25 feet into Piney Creek on Interstate 565.

A hospital spokeswoman said Jeremy James Millich, 26, is in good condition in the surgical intensive care unit after the 9:20 wreck Thursday night.

Witnesses said the vehicle rolled four or five times, bouncing over the barrier untouched and down to the creek. Millich was thrown from the vehicle.

The occupants of the other vehicle were not injured.

HEMSI, Segars Road Volunteer Fire Department and the Athens and Huntsville police departments worked the wreck.
