TRINITY — Three male occupants were apparently thrown from a car when it ran into a ditch Friday night.

One victim went to Huntsville Hospital by MedFlight. An ambulance took two others to Decatur General Hospital.

State troopers had not released their names at press time.

The wreck took place shortly after 7:00 p.m. on Hudson Road near Whitlow Road.

Troopers said the northbound vehicle apparently left the roadway just after rounding a curve in the road, went into a ditch and flipped. It came to rest on its wheels.

Trinity fire Capt. Kim Owens said it appeared the crash ejected all three occupants.

I was passing by, said motorist Jeri Rae Kent.

I thought it was an old wreck, and then I noticed it was still smoking, so I stopped and called. And then a boy came stumbling around.

Another young man raised his head from the ditch south of the car, gained his feet and walked a short distance, she said.

Kent said both told her that a third young man, found lying in the roadway north of the car, was driving at the time of the accident. He was the one taken to Huntsville Hospital.
