Athens police said they believe the man who robbed a convenience store Nov. 16 in Jackson County, seen in this surveillance photo, is the same suspect who robbed Regions Bank in Athens on Nov. 22. Police are asking the public for any information on the whereabouts of the man, who was in a stolen car from Jackson County.

He was armed with a gun and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the U.S. 72 bank branch. Capt. Marty Bruce said the vehicle is a green Pontiac Grand Prix.

The suspect is a white male, in his late 20s or early 30s. He is 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 145 pounds. Anyone who has seen him or the car can call police at 233-8700.
