ATHENS — A teenager is facing charges that include making a terrorist threat, however, information about the charge was not available from authorities or circuit court.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Department arrest reports show Nickolas Orlando Gordon, 17, of 209 Cottonwood Drive, Apartment 24, charged with making the threat and possession and distribution of a controlled substance.
His bond is $40,000. The case went from juvenile to adult court Tuesday.
Athens police Capt. Marty Bruce said police arrested Gordon on Dec. 8 for the drug charges for allegedly having and selling Darvocet, a painkiller.
Limestone Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said the arresting Athens police officer’s narrative mentioned Gordon making threats, but that charge was not added until court Tuesday.
He did not know what threat Gordon allegedly made.
Athens police Lt. Floyd Johnson said the arresting officer, Michael Cash, was off work Wednesday, and information about the charge was not available on the arrest report.
