A man wanted in numerous burglaries in Limestone County now faces charges in Decatur, police said Thursday.
Decatur police were helping Limestone County sheriff's investigators with the search for Manuel Romero Mendoza on Monday when they discovered, inside Mendoza's house, items stolen during a burglary to Sin City Customs, police said.
Items taken in the Oct. 27 burglary included custom wheels and tires, specialized suspension components, vehicle customizing items and a laptop computer.
Detectives George Silvestri and Jim Buchli said they believe they recovered most of Sin City Customs' property, as well as items believed to have been stolen elsewhere.
Detectives said they also found guns and drug paraphernalia in the house.
They arrested Mendoza on Wednesday on charges of first-degree receiving stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. He remained in Morgan County Jail on Thursday in lieu of $75,500 bond.
Investigation into other items found at the residence is ongoing, police said.
