Calhoun offering day classes at Huntsville campus

The end of Alabama's college desegregation case is allowing Calhoun Community College to offer day classes at its Hunts-ville/Cummings Research park campus, beginning in the spring.

This is the first time since moving to the Research Park location that the college has been allowed to offer day classes.

Alicia Taylor, dean of Calhoun's Huntsville campus, said students will now be able to take math, English, history, computer science, art, psychology and biology during the day.

Registration for Calhoun's spring semester is still under way. Classes begin Jan. 8. For more information, contact the college's Huntsville campus at 890-4700 or visit the Calhoun Web site at www.calhoun.edu.
