Firefighter allegedly torched barn in '05

MONTGOMERY (AP) — A Montgomery firefighter was arrested Thursday and charged with arson in connection with a fire that destroyed a barn in Pike Road.

Jason Michael Green turned himself in to the Montgomery County sheriff's office. He had been a Montgomery firefighter since July 2004 and a Pike Road Fire Department volunteer.

Assistant Fire Chief William Davis said Green has been charged with one count of arson in the June 1, 2005, fire.
