Baxley out of hospital
BIRMINGHAM (AP) — Lt. Gov. Lucy Baxley was released from a stroke rehabilitation hospital Friday and will spend the New Year’s holiday with family and friends in Birmingham, her assistant said.
Baxley, who turned 69 on Dec. 21, suffered a stroke on Nov. 22 and spent a week receiving treatment at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She transferred to Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital in Birmingham on Nov. 29.
