ANNOUNCEMENT
Citizen emergency training offered

When somebody needs help, will you know what to do?

Classes to prepare citizens for emergencies will start Jan. 18 at Falkville Fire Department, sponsored by the Volunteer Center of Morgan County and the county Emergency Management Agency. Classes will meet Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. through March 8.

In this Community Emergency Response Training, citizens learn to manage utilities, put out small fires, open airways, control bleeding, treat for shock, provide basic medical aid, search for and rescue victims, organize spontaneous volunteers and collect information for first responders.

To register, contact Dianna Tolliver at the Volunteer Center, 355-8628, by Jan. 17.
