Decatur-Morgan ChemiCollection Day is Saturday

Decatur and Morgan County residents may discard household chemicals at the monthly ChemiCollection Day on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Decatur Public Works Complex, 1802 Central Parkway S.W.

Acceptable items include paints and paint products, used motor oil, antifreeze and automotive products, auto and household batteries, and lawn and garden products such as weed and bug killers.

No farm or business chemicals will be accepted, nor will unknown chemicals, explosives, medical or radioactive wastes, flares, gas cylinders or tires.

Bring all chemicals in original or labeled containers. The limit is 5 gallons or 50 pounds per household.
