TBN to tape Calvary service

Trinity Broadcast Network will tape a service at Calvary Assembly of God Church, Sunday at 6 p.m. The Rev. George Sawyer, pastor, will be the host. Karen Wheaton, Tommy Tenney, Roosevelt Hunter and Neil Kennedy will be guests. Doors open at 5 p.m. No tickets will be required.

TBN will announce the broadcast date, said the Rev. Tony Willis, associate pastor. A producer is coming from Dallas and will use church equipment, he said.

“We were blown away when they approached pastor about doing this. ... It can reach 500 million people worldwide,” Willis said.

Hartselle center raffling footballs

HARTSELLE — The Osborne-Warren-Oden Community Center is raffling signed Alabama and Auburn footballs as part of the center’s annual fundraiser.

Former head coach Mike Shula and the starting offensive and defensive players signed the Alabama football. Head coach Tommy Tubberville signed the Auburn football.

The center is accepting $1 donations at its Roberts Street location. For more information, call Lisa Burns at 773-6400.
