Police conduct drug searches

Narcotics agents arrested two on drug possession charges in a raid on a residence Thursday, Decatur police said.

Police said they found marijuana, prescription pills, a handgun, drug sale paraphernalia and cash at the 511 14th St. N.W. home of Anthony Jerome Sykes.

Sykes, 28, faces charges of first-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police also arrested Rodriquez Montez Williams, 29, of 320 13th Ave. N.W. on charges of first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Organized Crime Unit members also responded to a complaint of drug activity at 2500 Spring Ave. S.W., Apartment No. 150, on Wednesday. A search of the residence turned up crack and powder cocaine, marijuana and drug sale paraphernalia, police said.

Investigators arrested Quent-in Artease Pryor, 30, of 502 11th Ave. N.W., on charges of possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
