Remember Decatur car salesman Dan Meyer, who swallows swords as a entertainer?

If you have never seen him do it in person, you can see him perform on television. The Food Network show "Unwrapped" is airing programs Feb. 26 and 27 and March 2 that feature Meyer as a guest.

The show filmed Meyer in November 2005 at the Timberlost Restaurant in Carthage, Tenn.

"I was worried about whether I would be able to swallow the swords because I had been hurt the month before," he said.

In October 2005, Meyer punctured the entrance to his stomach while swallowing five swords at one time at a restaurant in Hartselle.

According to the Sword Swallowers Association International, he is one of between 12 and 24 people worldwide who actively swallow swords.

Meyer said the show's producers have not told him how much of the footage will air. He swallowed five swords at one time during the filming.

"This was the tough part because I didn't know if I would be able to do it," he recalled.

The show airs at 8 p.m. on Feb. 26, 11 p.m. on Feb. 27 and 6:30 p.m. on March 2.
