Telephone skills seminar is April 10 in Decatur

“TLC for VIPs,” a telephone skills seminar conducted by customer service and telemarketing expert Eileen Shenker, will be April 10 in Decatur.

The event will be at the Holiday Inn at Wilson Street and Sixth Avenue Northeast.

This upbeat, two-hour seminar will benefit all businesses that use the telephone to communicate with their clients, according to Shenker, who conducts similar “sell-out” seminars in cities across the U.S. and Canada.

Tips on projecting a positive company image, handling complaints, how to listen effectively and building rapport are some of the areas that will be explored during the seminar.

Registration is $29 ($39 after March 16) per person, with a choice of two sessions, either 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. Space is limited so register early.

For more information, or to register, call (256) 340-2382.

Shenker has more than 20 years in customer service and telemarketing experience, and has conducted employee training programs for many companies including Coca-Cola Manufacturing Division, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, IBM, Xerox and newspapers internationally. She provides private business consultation.

“TLC for VIPs” telephone skills seminar is presented by Success Seminars and sponsored by The Decatur Daily.
