An unexpected shower

Calhoun Community College manager Jim Morrill hustles out of the dugout to shut off the sprinklers after they came on during a game against Hibbing Community College from Minnesota.

The sprinklers forced a delay in the game. Even with the unexpected shower, the game offered a reprieve from the frigid weather for the visiting team from the Midwest.

The temperature soared near 70 degrees during the game, while the high in Minnesota on Thursday was only in the 30s.
