ATHENS — Athens State University will host a lecture on global warming Tuesday.

The speaker will be Robert Parham, the founder and executive director of the Baptist Center for Ethics. The lecture, “Do You Believe in Global Warming?,” will look at connections and contrasts among current environmental concerns, ethics, religion and government.

The lecture starts at 6:30 p.m. in the Sandridge Student Center ballroom.

Parham is the author of “Loving Neighbors Across Time: A Christian Guide to Protecting the Earth” and “What Shall We Do in a Hungry World?” His columns appear in daily newspapers such as the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Dallas Morning News, Orlando Sentinel and Tennessean.

The University’s Center for Religious Studies and Ethics and the Livingston Concert Lecture Series are sponsoring the event.
