State Rep. Hall to speak Monday at Toastmasters Club

State Rep. Laura Hall, D-Madison, will speak Monday evening at 5:45 at the Speaking Easy Toastmasters Club at the Decatur Utilities auditorium. The public is invited, and admission is free.

Hall, assistant to the president of Calhoun Community College, will relate how growing up black and female during the Civil Rights era impacted her life and career. She taught at Johnson High School for more than 25 years.

Educating youngsters about the dangers of AIDS and caring for its victims remain high on her priority list. Her only son died of AIDS.
