Developers buy property in Trinity for Dollar General

TUSCUMBIA — Muscle Shoals developers closed on
1.4 acres Friday at 1334 Old Alabama 24 in Trinity where they will build a Dollar General Store.

Property owner Tim Blaxton Jr. of Caddo said he sold the land to Robbie Martin and Gene Aycock of Martin-Aycock Properties for $100,000. He said the closing was at Mitchell Hays' law firm.

"I feel good about the transaction," Blaxton said. "We've been working on the sale since July. They told me they hope to be moved sometime in June."

He said business owners near the site at the top of Trinity Mountain and residents he
has spoken to have been supportive.

Blaxton's grandmother, Faye Eubanks, has operated Trinity House of Beauty in a building on the site for 38 years. The last two days she will open are Wednesday and Thursday at 11 a.m.

Mayor Vaughn Goodwin said the Trinity Volunteer Fire Department will burn the building for practice after removal of the roof.
