Police and parks tops in capital budget

The Decatur City Council approved a $2.52 million capital budget Monday.

Police received the largest expenditure, $688,042, for the purchase of 32 vehicles and 72 in-car camera systems.

Parks and Recreation received $583,000 to spend on lighting at Austinville Park, machinery and work on other parks.
