Decatur police arrested a man Tuesday suspected in a robbery that left the victim in gym shorts and a single sock, flagging down police on a cold February night.

The victim, Calvin Larry, told police that two black males robbed him of his cash, car and clothing in the parking lot of the Studio 9 motel, 440 Johnston St. S.E.

Detective Chris Jones said police developed Terrance Lamon Coger, 18, as a suspect after finding Lar-ry's vehicle in Limestone County several days after the Feb. 6 robbery.

Police in Coger's hometown of Columbia, Tenn., picked him up and extradited him to Morgan County for arrest on a charge of first-degree robbery.

Coger remained in Morgan County Jail on Wednesday in lieu of $10,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing, Jones said.

Larry, 22, of Decatur, said one of the robbers blocked his car in, then pointed a shotgun at him, forced him out of his vehicle and made him flee barefoot through an alleyway.

Larry hailed a patrol car a few blocks away on Gordon Drive Southeast near Fire Station No. 1.
