Narcotics agents conducted two raids Wednesday resulting in the arrests of three people on charges of drug trafficking, Decatur police said.

Police said they seized more than 28 grams of cocaine, marijuana, prescription medication, cash, drug paraphernalia and a handgun in a search at 1602 Douthit St. S.W.

Darris Dewayne Wiggins, 23, of that address, and Adam Willingham, 22, of 909 Clearview St. S.W., were each charged with trafficking cocaine, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Willingham also faces two charges of distributing a controlled substance.

Investigator Jamie Jarrell said an undercover operation aimed at buying illegal drugs led to Wednesday's raid.

Four others were arrested.

Hoyt Alexander Williamson, 22, of 1303 Castleman Ave. S.W., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and loitering in a drug house, and three others were charged with misdemeanors.

A search at 2316 Winthrop Ave. S.W. uncovered three pounds of marijuana, crack cocaine and paraphernalia, police said.

Police charged Marvin Jerome Elliott, 26, of that address, with trafficking in marijuana and possessing a controlled substance.

Dexter Bernard Wiggins, 50, also of that address, faces a charge of possessing a controlled substance.

Bonds were set as follows: Darris Wiggins, $3,500; Willingham, $6,500; Williamson; $1,250, Elliott, $3,000; and Dexter Wiggins, $500.
