Fire on Old Moulton Road

fire2.jpg - 63321 Bytes
Dry, warm weather is contributing to grass fires. On Sunday afternoon, Decatur Fire & Rescue’s stations 4, 5 and 7 and Mud Tavern and Trinity volunteer fire departments kept a fire on Old Moulton Road, between West Chapel Hill and Mud Tavern roads, away from two homes. In the top photo, Decatur Lt. Kevin Hargett takes a break on the 86-degree spring day. In the bottom photo, Decatur firefighter Kevin Jackson helps fight the fire. It took the departments almost 4½ hours to clear the scene.
