Cause of Ardmore fire that destoyed horse barn unknown

ARDMORE — Investigators are not sure what caused the fire that killed a horse and destroyed a barn in Ardmore.

Limestone County Sheriff's Department Chief Investigator Stanley McNatt said a state fire marshal investigator determined Wednesday that no one set the fire, but the cause is undetermined.

The 36-year-old horse barn burned Tuesday at 5:33 p.m. Two horses got out.

One horse in a stall did not, McNatt said.

The Gossett family owns the farm on Sweet Springs Road west of Lambert Road.
