American Legion national commander visits Decatur
Post 15 welcomes Paul A. Morin, who compliments state

Paul A. Morin, in the midst of a whirlwind tour of the country as national commander of the American Legion, visited Post 15 in Decatur on Wednesday.

Legionnaires elected Morin, 54, an Army veteran and a resident of Chicopee, Mass., on Aug. 31.

Willard Tapscott, comman-der of Post 15, said it is an hon-or to have Morin come to Decatur.

"We're proud to be one of eight posts in the state he chose to visit," Tapscott said.

"I'm impressed with everything done by the American Legion in Alabama," Morin said, "from working with youth programs to assisting veterans and their spouses, and supporting our men and women in the war on terrorism."
