Morgan agents raid meth lab, arrest 2

HULACO — Narcotics agents raided a methamphetamine lab Thursday, arresting two on charges of making the drug, Sheriff Greg Bartlett said.

Morgan County Drug Task Force agents found biphase liquids, meth, firearms and various chemicals used in the manufacturing process at 12059 Alabama 67, Joppa, Bartlett said.

Investigators charged the residents, Roger Harold Elledge Jr., 40, and Tracey Jane Elledge, 31, each with first-degree drug manufacturing.

The federal Drug Enforcement Agency sent a Hazardous Materials Cleanup team to dispose of the toxic waste and chemicals, Bartlett said.

The Elledges remained in Morgan County Jail on Friday in lieu of $10,000 bond each.
