Three months after taking office, Morgan County Probate Judge Greg Cain is giving the public an opportunity to give input on the services of his office.

Cain will host two forums, one Tuesday and another one Thursday.

The sessions will be in the Emergency Management Agency auditorium in the basement of the courthouse.

Cain calls them brainstorming sessions.

He has invited real estate officials and attorneys, and he encourages other residents to participate in the open sessions.

"One of our goals when I took office was to hold these types of meetings," Cain said. "I wanted to get settled in and get my feet on the ground. We have invited people we know are interested in certain aspects of the office, but it's open to anyone who might have ideas on what we can do to make the office more user-friendly."

Tuesday's session at 1:30 p.m. will cover topics about land records, and Thursday's session at 10:30 a.m. will be about probate records.

Cain will host a third session April 26 at 1:30 p.m. to discuss mental health issues.

"I am very interested in getting everybody's ideas and taking a look at them to see what we can do to make improvements," Cain said. "My perspective is that the more people you have looking at something from different points of views the better off we'll be."
