Something to cluck about

Soggy conditions didnít take the cluck out of the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival on Saturday in Moulton. Volunteer Steve Hubbard, top left, squeegeed water from the childrenís area to improve the messy conditions. A mess is what Christopher Tarwater, 10, of Holly Pond, top right, created when he competed in the hard-boiled egg eating contest and ate nine eggs in five minutes. The festival wasnít complete without feathered friends like the Mille Fleur at left displayed by the Lawrence County Co-op. The festival was to continue Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
